I’m really glad I got to have that experience through a random roommate assignment.” She’s still one of my best friends and we still have breakfast together every week. We had to sit down and talk about our expectations, which alleviated problems later because we knew what the expectations were right off the bat. Everyone in my hall had to make a roommate contract when we first moved in. We had similar backgrounds, were interested in a lot of the same things, and had similar goals for studying, being social, and having fun. ![]() I called her and we had an awesome experience the first time talking on the phone. “I got randomly matched with a roommate and was concerned about getting along.
